Val recently joined the District Library Team in the Madison Metropolitan School District. It has been a fabulous whirlwind drawing on all of her professional experiences at Monona Grove High School, with TeachingBooks.net as well as through WEMTA, AASL, and ALA.
Growing up in Door County instilled a love of the outdoors as well as providing an early grounding in customer service as Val's work life began at 11 years of age.
Currently favorite passtimes include traveling, walking with husband, Dave and sassy-pants rescue dog, Josie as well as reading, cycling,and hanging out with friends.
The weirdest things about Val are that she loves attending meetings and planning change for growth.
