Media Literacy. Coding. Digital Citizenship. Media Production. Makerspace. STEM. Tech Support. Tech Coaching. Tech Integration. And oh yeah, Literacy. But only on days when we are not subbing. We are called to anticipate change, even to lead that change and our identity is constantly being debated and threatened amongst our constituencies, and worse, ourselves.. And it’s hard. And some days, it just isn't fun anymore. But have no fear. The sky is not falling and the sun still rises and the kids still love you and the teachers still need you, and your admin can’t function without you. At the end of the day- you do what no one else in the building can do. You make people happy. You make them better. You make them feel safe and seen and capable. You have extra chargers for their devices. This conversation is guaranteed to help you usher some happiness back into your life. Despite all evidence to the contrary, you are still a Librarian.
