Diversifying Road Map for K-12 Libraries with Strategies You Can Use Right Away

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Janel and Jenny will be presenting our work within Green Bay and Appleton Elementary and High School libraries on diversifying collections. We will include our road maps, goals and strategies. This will include a variety of entry level things you can start with as well as long terms goals and results. This will also include tips on how to increase student awareness of and readership of diverse topics and points of view not limited to culture, race, sexual orientation and gender identity, ability level, religion and more. You won't leave this session knowing everything (we certainly don't), but you will leave with the resources and ideas needed to get the conversation started, continued or evaluated in your district.
