Makerspace activities have value in building so many skills our students need right now and in the future, along with ways to support classroom lessons, but it can be hard to find the time to fit in amongst read alouds, book checkout, and all of the curriculum needs of classroom teachers. Join this session to hear how an elementary librarian with a flexible schedule for integrating ITL standards created a new method for making makerspace work for all in her school. Starting from a stance of three distinct purposes for makerspace, leave with a framework to consider implementing with your school.
