Peer Feedback, Wine Tasting, and More Effective Formative Assessment

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this interactive session, you'll learn about a new peer feedback strategy & how to implement it to improve formative assessment in almost any curriculum. Using GSuite tools & a free tool called Short Answer, we’ll try out 3 formative assessment activities & brainstorm how to apply them in your classroom. In the process, we’ll learn how the same psychological principles underlying a wine tasting (!?) can improve learning, increase engagement, and develop important SEL skills. By lessons end, you will be able to explain what comparative judgment is and how it can be used to improve peer feedback practices. You will also be able to create at least one peer feedback activity using comparative judgement and either GSuite tools, Short Answer, and/or pencil & paper.
